You can get into their mindset and even find some helpful tools and deliverables to use in the classroom so it’s jam packed with what you care about.
Discovery Education: There’s a reason that this is such a popular teacher network, particularly at the elementary level. This is where you go when you want to stay a step ahead within education and be the best in your classroom. The kids will adore the lessons and ideas that you can integrate in and they are so very helpful to you as a teacher.
Apples 4 The Teacher: This is a really fun site with just about every printable item that you can imagine. If you need a worksheet or are simply looking for a new idea, then this is the site to go to. You will fall in love with the new ideas that you can find through these items that are easy and quick to print off.
Lesson Plan Page: Even if you have been working lessons plans for years, we can all use a bit of help sometimes. This is a resource that you can use for yourself as a teacher or a site that you can integrate easily into your classroom. Elementary Teacher Resources: If you want to work on yourself for a little while, then this is the site to help you do it. You can use this for a bit of professional development to get yourself motivated or get your classroom moving. This is great when teachers decide that they need to spend a bit of time on educating themselves for a change.
National Council of Teachers of English: This site is aimed at English teachers but will help all sorts of elementary teachers as well. You can check into grants or use this site to help you to get involved in the teaching community. This is a great broader one and there are many more targeted sites like this out there.
Rockford Public Schools: Sometimes it helps to look on other school districts websites to learn a bit. Teachers at this level can benefit from learning how other districts handle certain things and they can get some great idea starters from here. No matter what you want to learn, tuning into other teachers and school districts can really help.
