Webster’s Dictionary Version of Currency

In today’s economy I think that it is fair to ask about your currency and how it is holding up. If you take a look at currency just as your normal, everyday quarters, dimes and nickels, you might be thinking to yourself that it isn’t holding so well, and you would be right. But I am not talking about the Webster’s dictionary version of currency. I am talking about the “Why in the world am I doing this for my home based business franchise” currency.
In your home based business franchise or any small business for that matter, you need to start to have the conversation with yourself on what would have to happen to make you feel like you have achieved a solid return on investment from your top performing franchise.
Are spending dollar after dollar on advertising that doesn’t seem to be giving you the solid return on investment that you were hoping for? Well let’s switch gears and dig a bit deeper for just a minute…
Let’s look at on-line social marketing. Too many home based business franchises and business professionals still hesitate to get heavily involved with this arena of marketing because they think it’s not a legitimate means of advertising, that it is still just for college kids or that it’s high school fun and games. Well, it is a lot of fun, I will admit, but if you are not in the Facebook, Twitter and You Tube game you are leaving a lot of money on the table and your competition who does have a significant presence on Facebook, Twitter and You Tube are smiling all the way to the bank counting their ever increasing currency.
There could be hundreds of excuses people give for not getting involved in on-line social marketing in their home based business franchise, but the one I hear the most is that the direct marketer does not see immediate currency…immediate payout on his return on investment. This is almost laughable to me. First of all the only investment is of time because on-line social marketing is almost completely free of charge. What better return on investment are you looking for?
You are investing your time, which many times is the deal breaker. People want immediate return on their investment and I must admit, in many cases, you will not always see the immediate return of your investment like you might with Google Pay Per Click. However, it is not as costly or as risky as Google Pay Per Click either. As the saying goes: you either have time or your have money…if you have no money, then you better make some time.
I promise you however, you will quickly start to have the time when you understand firsthand what your return on investment can be. With on-line social marketing, your return on investment should focused on driving additional traffic to your blog site and filtering in new and highly profitable leads.
It is at your blog where you can really start to brand yourself and show yourself as the leader that people are currently looking for… especially in today’s economy. With on-line social marketing you can build your ever growing community and best of all you are building your network of friends that you would have never had otherwise. It’s like one big party and you are in the middle of it constantly networking, giving value to others and through all of this…your currency starts to filter in.
Think about this scenario because it happens every day…You are blogging each day, you are posting You Tube videos offering value each day, you are present on Facebook and Twitter each day…not spamming, but again offering value to your followers and friends … You were getting some leads..you may be getting a lot of leads, but you are just not seeing any real return on your time investment….yet. Realize with on-line social media the return of your investment of time might take a few months, but isn’t it ultimately worth it?
Realize that there is an I in the Return on Investment! It’s your Investment into yourself and your business. My question to you is now this: Are you willing and able to pay the price of time for your home based business franchise, for your return on investment and for your currency?
If you are…congratulations…and I have a challenge for you. For the next 90 days submit one article a day, post one blog a day, make one video a day and make it your point to create a daily presence on Facebook and Twitter. Doing this type of massive online social media action will no doubt allow you to see the return of your investment of time and realize that the sky is the absolute limit. Go, take action and reap the rewards from your on-line social media currency.
